Healthy Land.
Low-Input Livestock.
Forage-Based Genetics.
Welcome To Our Farm
Elm Acres Farm raises forage-developed Registered Red Angus cattle selected to thrive in a low-input, grass-based system. Using rotational grazing, regenerative practices, and extended grazing with crop residue and annuals, we focus on livestock that work with the land.
Our goal is simple: functional genetics that stay productive, efficient, and get fat on grass.
OUR CATTLE
Elm Acres Farm raises forage-developed Katahdin hair sheep selected to thrive in a low-input, grass-based system. Through rotational grazing, regenerative practices, and extended grazing with crop residue and summer annuals, our sheep harvest as much of their own feed as possible.
Our goal is simple: functional, hardy sheep that stay productive and thrive on grass.

Our Philosophy
At Elm Acres Farm, we focus on raising low-input, forage-developed livestock that thrive in our environment. Our herd of registered Red Angus cattle and flock of Katahdin hair sheep are selected for efficiency, hardiness, and the ability to perform on grass. By prioritizing genetics that naturally finish and stay productive on forage, we aim to produce animals that work with the land rather than against it.
Our farm is managed using holistic and regenerative practices, with a strong emphasis on rotational grazing and building healthy soils. We work to extend the grazing season as long as possible by utilizing crop residue and summer annuals, allowing our animals to harvest their own feed while improving the land.
At the heart of Elm Acres Farm is the goal of raising livestock that are adapted, efficient, and profitable in a low-input system—animals that stay healthy, raise strong offspring, and get fat on grass. By working in tune with nature, we strive to build resilient genetics and a farm that will thrive for generations to come.
